“ We had a 3 night stay here and thought the hotel was excellent. The décor and facilities second to none. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel with a lovely cold buffet plus home cooked breakfast. My particular favourite was the Eggs Benedict that I had every morning plus the luscious fresh fruit salad and yogurt. Friendly staff and the owner was one of the most pleasant and helpful we have ever met. There is also a drying room in the basement where you can leave all your wet gear in the knowledge that it will be safe as you are given a key on check in. Free Wi-Fi in bedrooms and downstairs in the lounge area. All fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to be close to the town and also the theatre and lake. Parking is limited outside, but you are given a free pass for the local car parks that are within easy access. Lovely views from the bedroom windows.
“ Top Tip: Morrells for fine dining and the Dog and Gun for the excellent goulash - close to hotel. Lots of good walking in the area and surrounding fells. Plenty of lovely gear shops and other types of shops within a couple of minutes walk.

“ Beautiful hotel, views from room windows sensational, close to the lake and only a short walk under a little subway under the road to the town centre/main street.
