As seen on ITV1 "The Lakes". From the moment you turn into the drive you realise that this is a truly special place. Set in six acres of award winning grounds and gardens which slope gently down to the lakeside. In Summer time there is a beautiful terrace to enjoy afternoon tea which offer stunning views across WIndermere and the Lakeland fells, in the Winter time, we have beautiful log fires in the stunning Baronial Hall or the Piano Lounge which offers panoramic views across Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes. Perfect peace all year round.

“ Lovely appointed room overlooking Lake Windermere. Had wanted to eat in the hotel as it was an engagement surprise. The menu displayed in the afternoon looked okay but then changed, Every dish contained mushrooms which I have an aversion to and there was not much of a choice for my partner who is vegetarian. Had to get a taxi into Ambleside to eat which sort of spoilt the evening surprise. Still the hotel itself was great.
