Prestatyn Sands nestles between the rolling hills of Wales and miles of award winning beaches. A holiday here gives you the best of both worlds to combine as your fancy takes you – relaxing in beautiful scenery and enjoying bags of fun activities throughout the day. As well as a choice of three stunning beaches there is plenty to see and do from the majestic Conwy Castle to the Historic City of Chester for a bit of retail therapy. For the more adventurous a climb up Snowdon could be your holiday challenge although we prefer to take the train! Pontins Prestatyn Sands is perfect for younger families with stacks to keep the smallest (and noisiest) members of the family busy. Kids activities are all provided by qualified staff, so you can relax as they whizz around Captain Croc’s Driving School or even have a go at Bungee Trampolining.

Just returned from Pontins in lovely sunny rhyl - except it one day!
We stayed in the budget room which was ok. Our cousin was getting married in Rhyl so a few families stayed here for the weekend. At the same time as us there were a group of young lads in a sporting tournament aged about 18 and although I did not hear them of an evening they kept my cousin awake a bit.
You get given sheets and pillowcases but although clean there are some stains on them. I took my own! You have to pay for your electricity we found £5 did us for the weekend. The rooms were clean enough but could be better! My son decided to get up early on the Saturday morning and get his own breakfast and woke me up asking was this a cereal bowl or an ashtray - they are tiny bowls.
Not all of the facilities were on as it was only end of April, the kids enjoyed the play area and golf and loved the swimming baths. I was not brave enough to be seen in a costume so sat on a table inside it was like a sauna. The 'restaurant' was like school dinners - the bad ones. Not too nice really.
Plenty of money was spent in the arcades of course which the kids loved. On the whole would probably go again if pushed but would not rush back.
“ Top Tip: Quilts are very thin too thin for April!
