Built in 1826 this beautifully regal hotel is situated overlooking Brighton Pier. Traditionally decorated and furnished throughout it offers character and style. The 186 bedrooms are all en-suite and have TV Telephone Hairdryer Trouser Press and Tea and Coffee making facilities. Many of the rooms command stunning sea views and a number also have spa baths. Dining is an experience in Jenny's restaurant with its succulent menu plus you can take in the views over the English Channel. Enjoy a drink in the Pavilion Bar or the Regency Lounge to relax and watch the sunset. In addition there are eight conference rooms catering for up to 150 people with first class facilities. WIFI is free to all guests and available in all public areas of the hotel.
“ If I had payed the full rate I would have demanded a refund, I reported that my room was cold and the heater was not working to the reception desk. Iwas told the heater would be replaced and the heating for the bed rooms would come on later.

“ This hotel has a lot of potential, but is let down by a few things - normally I love full English breakfasts, but the sausages were pretty horrible and only having hardboiled eggs as standard was not good, although you could request others.

A quality grade II listed Regency townhouse located in the fashionable area of Kemptown one minute from Brighton pier close to all main attractions and conference centre. All our rooms are well appointed with full en suite facilities. We have four poster and super kingsize balcony rooms available for that special occasion. We regret that for our guests peace and comfort we do not accept hen or stag parties. Our single rooms are particuarly suitable for weekly business trips as well as weekend breaks. The current owners have undertaken an extensive refurbishment of the building and are proud to have restored this historic and beautiful hotel. Their aim has been to bring back the fun the colour and the vibrancy of the Regency period when the hotel first opened. This is particularly apparent in the William and Adelaide suites as well as in the restaurant. They have also tried to create a sense of eclectic elegance and comfort as was popular in the Victorian era and the bar and lounge areas pay tribute to the novelists and statesmen of the time. The more relaxed glamour of the Edwardian days can be seen in the bedrooms and is a trend running through the whole hotel. Royal York is delighted to be opening its doors as a hotel again after nearly 80 years and perhaps the statesmen novelists inventors sports heroes and celebrities of tomorrow will come and enjoy our hospitality as they did during the past two hundred years
