“ Nicely decorated and friendly staff. Would've been nice to be able to make a cup of tea in the room rather than have to go down three flights of stairs to get one from a machine first thing in the morning!
“ Top Tip: Due South is a really great restaurant on the seafront and only a short walk.

“ small room, even smaller bed, which I could put up with this but not even a proper double bed is unforgivable at the at the price really especially when the room would easily accommodated a slightly larger bed. no full bathroom, small shoehorned in shower-room, basin unusable unless you want to get wet! way too many up and down stairs.

“ If I had payed the full rate I would have demanded a refund, I reported that my room was cold and the heater was not working to the reception desk. Iwas told the heater would be replaced and the heating for the bed rooms would come on later.

“ Convenient location and run by a very friendly, helpful and amusing lady who was the best feature of the place. Rather cramped rooms and ours only had toilet and wash-basin, with a shared shower room just outside on the landing.

“ We stayed in a room on the fourth floor, the attic room. It is a lovely regency house which has a lot of potential but could do with a good makeover. New curtains in our room would have been nice. The breakfast was continental, but not a great deal to choose from. I dont think it was good value for the £140 we paid for the night.

“ I could not stay at my requested hotel, The Westbourne, as it was double booked. They found me a replacement room at the Urban Hotel, Brighton. Not good at all. Nowhere to park, nearby, and costs a fortune! Room ws dingy, basin taps loose, shower did not work properly and kettle blew up! Apart from that, it was £118 pounds spent. Would not recommend this place to anyone. lesson learnt.
