We were really disappointed by the poor standard of cleaning at Pontins Camber Sands. Our apartment was rather grubby and worse, the bed linen was covered in stains. All the facilities are extremely tatty and in desperate need of a good clean and a lick of paint. The indoor pool had a really dirty floor because the entrance leads straight in from outside and it was fairly muddy, Yuk! Such a shame because we've been to lots of holiday other parks and they've been lovely .
Our other gripe is: why does the volume of the evening entertainment have to be so ridiculously loud? My ears are still ringing and I suspect the kids will grow up slightly deaf.
“ Top Tip: Best places to visit: Battle Abbey is a fantastic day out for all the family, it is quite moving to stand on the battlefield where the course of history was changed, and the Abbey ruins are stunning. The RSPB Visitor Centre at Dungeness is excellent, set in an amazing location. The R, H & D Steam Railway is close by, with the charming Light Railway Cafe next door. The ancient town of Rye has the most beautiful timber beam houses, particularly around Church Square, and a fabulous selection of independent shops, also Ypres Tower is definitely worth a visit.
