“ The hotel is well situated just 15 mins from the castle and offers basic but comfortable accomodation. The rooms are a good size with all the facilities you require and the staff are friendly and helpful. You can even start the day with a full breakfast to keep you going through the cold days in this beautiful city.
“
Top Tip:
The hotel is in a brilliant location, you catch the bus from the main road direct to/ from the airport or catch a train from the Haymarket rail station.
The food nearby is a little pricey so I would recommend walking a little further towards Princes St or George St.

'Aonach Mor' guest house is a stunning four star BandB run by a Scottish couple with an enthusiastic knowledge of the city.Set in an accessible area of Edinburgh - only one mile from the castle - the location is about as close to the city center as you can get without the late night noise. Regular buses will take you into the center or a taxi will cost you around £5. If you enjoy walking you can take a variety of interesting routes which will take around twenty minutes.Our breakfasts are freshly prepared using only the finest local ingredients.Hope to see you soon!Calum and Jen
