“
We had a really lovely and relaxing weekend in this atmospheric hotel. The whole experience was top class - very friendly in a gorgeous setting overlooking a valley, in a spectacular manor-house which ranges from Victorian to Tudor.
Our bedrooms were very spacious, Victorian rooms, sympathetically furnished, with superb views. The breakfast room is very elegant, and from our table we had lovely views over the gardens (we'll need to return later in the year to see them at their best, though!). The restaurant is in the Tudor part of the house, and we had a tasty meal there in atmospheric surroundings. We also sampled the well-stocked bar, which even had Benedictine. We would like to complement and thank the very friendly and helpful proprietor for a most enjoyable and relaxing weekend.
“ Top Tip: Whenever we stay in mid Wales we always visit the Indiana Indian restaurant in the tiny seaside village of Fairbourne. This is a really friendly restaurant with absolutely delicious food - not an extensive menu (eg. no Madras) but a selection of really tasty dishes in a lovely atmosphere.
