The White Horse Inn

The 15th Century Grade II listed White Horse Inn is situated between the picturesque villages of Thruxton and East Cholderton and a half hour drive to the historic towns of Winchester and Salisbury. The White Horse was taken over in November 2006 by the Mawby family and has since gained a reputation for quality regarding food accomodation and the friendly service. Our recently refurbished extension houses 4 beautifully appointed Bed and Breakfast rooms. All have comfortable double beds en-suite shower rooms TV tea and coffee-making facilities and wireless internet access. It is the perfect home-from-home to stay when enjoying the local tourist sights particularly Stonehenge numerous country activities and walks or as part of a work visit to the area. As we are close to the A303 it is also a great place to stop off for some rest and relaxation on the long drive tofrom the West Country.A key attraction is our restaurant where you can enjoy some delicious home-cooked food either in our attractive intimate dining room or besides the roaring log fire. We have a fully-licensed bar offering a wide selection of beers spirits and wines from around the world. Our food is inspired by selecting premium local suppliers to create a classic modern British menu with a twist. Our wine list has been carefully selected to enhance your dining experience and present you with a balance between Old and New World wines. We also have a large garden which can be enjoyed throughout the summer with al fresco dining or a relaxing drink.Opening hours of pub: Tuesday - Saturday 12pm-3pm and 6pm-11pm Sunday 12pm-3pm Monday (closed)BandB works separately from the pub and is open everyday.
