“ Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. A good breakfast was included in the price of the rooms. There is a restaurant if you wanted to book an evening meal, obviously the evening meal was not included in the price of the rooms. There was also a leisure centre with swimming pool, gym and other facilities. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would use it again if we were visiting Portsmouth. It was just a short walk to the Royal Historic Dockyard (about five minutes away), so anyone interested in naval history would like it there. The hotel was central for travelling, a short walk (about ten minutes) to Portsmouth city centre, or you could take a bus. Portsmouth Harbour railway station and ferries to the Isle of Wight and Gosport were just a five minute walk away, also Gunwharf Quays was only about a ten minute walk away for the outlet shops and plenty of restaurants/bars along the waterfront overlooking Portsmouth Harbour.

“ Room was ideal for a complete break from it all. The window was slightly openable for fresh air, there was no phone in the room. It had the layout of a small flat, with door coming into the hall and the bedroom and bathroom off the hall. I was lucky to get a parking bay - the last one that was available, I think. The location of the hotel is very central. I found it difficult to find at first because I don't know Portsmouth. I found the breakfast completely inedible but I have a health foods diet, so thats not surprising. The service was fine. A good place if you want a nice room at a fair price.
