Freshwater Bay House

Set on the west coast of the Isle of Wight overlooking the white cliffs that tumble down into the English Channel this Country House designated non-smoking is within yards of some of the finest walking on the island. Many of the 49 bedrooms have wonderful sea views with others overlooking the gardens and downs (Tennyson Down). The bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Flatscreen TVs are provided in the bedrooms.Guests can relax in the three lounges and barcoffee lounge or in the heated outdoor swimming pool open from Easter to September inclusive. The barcoffee lounge also has a outdoor patio area. In the grounds there is a children's playground while adults can enjoy putting croquet badminton and tennis. Steps from the gardens lead directly down to the beach. Accommodation through Late Rooms is on a BandB basis. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. A three-course dinner is available on request at a price of £22.95 and served at 7 to 7.30pm. Please contact the house if you wish to have dinner on your night of arrival. All meals are served in an informal friendly atmosphere at tables for up to 10 guests.Free car parking is available. Please notify the Country House in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.An excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday other nearby attractions include Osborne House the Dinosaur farm museum The Needles and Ventnor Botanical Garden. Travel to the Isle of Wight from the UK mainland by ferry or hovercraft. This Country House has a 4-star VisitBritain rating.
