Check-in date:

The hotel room was clean, but somewhat dated. The shower didn't work properly, but I found a way of making it work sufficiently for our needs.
The evening meal menu was limited, so we decided to eat-out most nights. That wasn't a problem for us.
The hotel is not really walking distance to other restaurants, so you need a car if you decide to go out for a meal. Having said that, most guests had a car.
All in all, we had a great week, but mainly due to the unseasonal weather.
Breakfast was very nice.

Top Tip: Some great restaurants in Gorey ---- try them out, but book if it's likely to be busy. We probably hit the end of the season, so wasn't a problem.

Check-in date:

Welcoming, friendly and clean, good service and a decent breakfast. Will go back for sure! Didn't realise you needed prepaid vouchers for car parking in Jersey - something reception desk at hotel could mention especially as they sell them, was not a problem though as most shops stock them.

Top Tip: The Dolphin Hotel in Gorey - very nice three course evening meal, staff lovely and very attentive, reasonably priced as well.

Very Good

Check-in date:

Our room was adquately sized and kept clean although the bathroom does require some modernisation. Small details - toilet roll holder brackets loose and no paper roller. Hook missing from behind the door and the bath edge was coroded. On the day we left there was no hot water at 06.30. The food - the breakfast was good and plentiful but we had one dinner which we thought was somewhat meagre although again well cooked. Given that there must be many early morning departures for flights, we were disappointed there was no provision for an early breakfast.
The overall impression was a comfortable, efficiently run but informal hotel which we would be happy to re-visit.

Top Tip: The Dolphin Hotel in Gory for a' special occasion' meal although a bit pricey.

Check-in date:

It was quite good but we made a mistake by choosing a child friendly hotel! The dining room had a wooden floor which accentuated the noise at meal times where many screaming babies destroyed the ambience and the tables were too close together. Food was mostly good but the breakfast menu advertised fresh fruit. This was not true it was tinned fruit! However the service was very good although the 'broken English' of the staff was sometimes difficult to interpret. The room was comfortable, but a little cramped but the tea/coffee facilities compensated. There did not appear to be a lift, so awkward for less mobile people. Generally this hotel is good value for money.

Top Tip: Easy access from this hotel to Royal Jersey Golf Club and the Jersey Pottery. Gorey Harbour is an attractive place to visit overlooked by the Castle all within 10 mins drive. If you have a car there is stunning scenery on the north coast (25mins) where there are some excellent walks overlooking pretty bays 400ft below.

Check-in date:

very friendly staff, lovely food, pleasent bar for evening drinks, pool looked nice, but weather wasnt warm enough for us to use it. rooms comfortable, bathroom needed up dating, a little shabby here and there, new shower etc. lovely country side around which is nice for walks, car needed, plenty of parking. overall a lovely visit, wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

Top Tip: we loved the jersey cows which were in the field next door, gave this hotel a lovely country feel away from the hustle and bustle, easy drive from airport and close to gory harbour which was so pretty. being a small island every thing is a short drive away.
