Mayfair Hotel offers 222 modern guestrooms located on five floors. They are all ensuite, including several Junior suites, the Mayfair Hotel is the perfect place to stay. If you would like to take a splash in the pool or have a workout, the heated indoor swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi and extensive gym, with fitness instructors, should meet all your needs. Amenities include satellite television, tea/coffee-making facilities and bathrooms with shower/bath combinations. The Mayfair Hotel’s indoor pool features an adjacent hot tub and steam room. The Health Club also houses a gym with cardio and resistance equipment, and trained instructors are on hand to offer exercise advice. Hotel well situated close to town centre.Staff mostly helpful.
But...but mattress in our room so worn out,so smashed up that rest or sleep impossible. Room changed - spacious room,very clean bathroom;soap provided but no toiletries.
Breakfast - served in large dining hall to 200 pensioners at the same time ; rapid service , institutional food , tiny tables set close together.
Lounges - rather like retirement/rest homes lounges - crowded with the aged.
“ Top Tip: Bistro Rosa , Beresford Street ( inside the fish market ) good value set menu , very good and varied fish dishes - very small so booking a table usually needed
