“ Clean with traditional cooking. Hotel a little dated but the bathrooms have been modernised. The room rate is excellent. Walls a little thin as I heard a couple rowing in the next room.

There was a shortage of tea bags with the tea making items. Plus it would have been nice had a biscuit or two been provided. We didnt approach the staff because the tea bag shortage was only discovered in the early hours.
We also heard noises coming from the adjoining room, well after midnight. The noises were difficult to recognise but muted voices were.

“ The Hotel lacks expertees, staff are very friendly but the quality of service in the restaurant was slow and lacked knowledge of Basic food Créme Brulée was serviced like milk not once but twice on the same night hence I declined the pudding. I requested well done Fillet Steak the chef wanted to know if I would like the steak cut in half to save time. The towels in the room were grey in colour I believed this was due to the towels not being washed to save the planet or something like that. My beliefs about the towels were proven true when I placed a towel smelling of germolene on the floor for washing only to find it was folder neatly and put back on the towel rack. At that point I decided to leave a day earlier and book myself into another hotel. It has potential I believe the current proprietors / managers should leave the running of the Hotel to the experts. This is a general and open observation as this hotel could a lot more money.

On arrival at the Hotel to check in they did not have a booking for us. Fortunatly they were able to find a room for us.
The Hotel although very clean is a little dated. The bathroom was very nice as this had been recently refurbished. We paid £50 B & B so value for money.
Breakast was good.

Was not entirely impressed with how clean the hotel was. Bathroom floor was filthy, towels stained. Hotel could do with a bit of TLC.
Was informed that weddings were taking place at the hotel the weekend we chose to stay, but assured that this would not affected the guests in the bar or restaurant area - this was a lie and actually was told while watching the football that if we wanted to see the tv we needed to move elsewhere - so not exactly made to feel very welcomed guests!
I found the bar staff exceptionally friendly though.
