“ Very clean and good food. Would go again.

“ Friendly staff and pleasant room, kettle and tea making facilities, tv and ensuite bathroom. Good location and free parking. However the room wasn't spotlessly clean and the shower curtain had mildew on it. There were workmen wandering around especially during breakfast which made for an uncomfortable breakfast coupled with a smell of fish or kippers. This may have been due to work taking place but it would have been nice to be warned.

“ Top Tip: top tip is to visit the cathedral near by after dark when it is all lit up-looks beautiful

“ The room we were given was on the ground floor facing the road with only a yard-wide strip of garden between the window and the footpath so we were disturbed by the noise of traffic and the voices of passers-by until late at night and again in the early morning. We asked if we could move to another room but we were told the guest house was fully booked though we saw few other guests. The shower room was a premoulded capsule - we have encountered this sort of thing in France - and was far too small. The shower cubicle was only 24 inches in diameter! The toilet and wash basin were both cracked. Apart from that, the bedroom was comfortably furnished, the breakfast was very good, there is adequate parking space and the guest house is only a short walk into the city.
A major building project is about to begin just across the road so anyone staying in a room facing in that direction can expect noise and disturbance for months to come.

“ Hotel really exceeded our expectations, we paid £130 for a four bed room with breakfast so at this cheap price we didn't think we would get anything too great - we were all in shock when we saw hoe nice the room was and how much space there was. Furniture and decor was very nicely and tastefully done and lots of nice extras in the room ie coffee, tea, hot choc, etc etc. Breakfast was very nice and my vegetarian friend was especially happy that they had a special veggie option with vegetarian sausages. The waiter was very friendly and happy and made us all laugh with his jokes.

“ Top Tip: Canterbury is a lovely place, we used to live here so we knew the area well but there are many lovely things to visit in the area especially the cathederal.
