“ Enjoyed stay. A clean fresh hotel and no noise ie peaceful. No frills but impressed with layout of room facilities. Soft and firm pillows........which makes a lot of difference to comfort.

“ Would not normally stay in a hotel below 4 stars due to previous bad experiences but this was all we could get. Our first impressions were that the building looked shabby and dated. But what we found when we entered far exceeded our expectations. Although basic the room was spotlessly clean. The customer service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was average as expected but perfectly fine. Lots of space in the restaurant but could do with more tables and chairs. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Although on a busy road there was little if any road noise. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised and would definately stay again if in that area.

“ Top Tip: We stayed here to visit Canterbury where the hotel prices were four times this amount. Not too far to drive.

“ We have stayed at this hotel many times before as it is ideally placed for family visits. I stay at quite a few hotels during the course of the year and usually go for 4 or five star ones but this is one of my favourites.The rooms are large and clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms up to date and the staff always helpful and willing to please. An added bonus this time was the introduction of bacon and eggs for breakfast (the bacon was superb with very little fat!) and the addition of evening meals. It is a very functional hotel, ideal for airport, ferry departures and business trips. I would not choose it for a family holiday though.

“ Top Tip: If visiting Broadstairs, try the Albion on the sea front. Great pub! Try and avoid the roads round Westwood unless you want to do some serious shopping.

“ The hotel was very nice and I would certainly use again, highly recommend. Staff were friendly and food was nice. Enjoyable stay.
