Grange St. Paul's Hotel

“ Very modern and tasteful hotel worthy of it's 5 star rating for facilities and quality. Stayed in Executive double which has a king size bed and was very roomy and had mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, complimentary toiletries, dressing gown and slippers flat screen tv etc. Very modern bathroom. The hotel has a swimming pool, gym and spa, but we didn''t use these facilities. Excellent location right opposite St. Pauls and on the bus route and minutes from tube station. Contintental breakfast was quite good, but I have to say not as well presented or such a good choice as The Grange City at Tower Bridge, where we have stayed on a couple of occasions.
The hotel as an atrium which we found quite unusual and if you are staying in one of the rooms with an internal window you are overlooking the restaurant, and reception and public areas and therefore I would imagine unable to open your curtains on the assumption that if you can see them they can see you!!
Our room had an outside window onto a side street but because we were on the ground floor we couldn't have our curtains open either because the public were at our level which I didn't like at all and it made the room dark and very depressing because of the lack of daylight so beware. The staff were very helpful and friendly and efficient and overall it is a lovely hotel but because of the design think about the room situation.

“ Top Tip: Top tip is St. Paul's cathedral right on the droostep and the Tower of London perhaps a fifteen minute walk away although the tube is a few minutes walk. The No.15 bus and No.11 bus stop right outside on the main road and will take you to Trafalgar Square for example or the Tower in the opposite direction. Quite a few pubs, coffee houses and eating places close to the hotel
