MyOtherHome is an ideal place to stay whether you are visiting or need a home from home whilst working in London. The property is located within short walk distance from the World Heritage Site of Greenwich and the local villages of Blackheath and the Standard. The surrounding heath and nearby Thames River are perfect for recreation such as walking, cycling, jogging, kite flying, picnic etc. From the apartment, stroll through The Royal Greenwich Park (with views of the River Thames, Canary Wharf, and City of London) to Greenwich, famous for its Naval Maritime history and birthplace of King Henry VIII, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth I. Greenwich is a hub of activities all year round and especially at weekends when the market is open (www.greenwichwhs.org.uk). From Greenwich, you can also take the foot tunnel under the river and walk to the City of London along the river. The apartment is situated on the open heath between Blackheath and Greenwich. In Blackheath, you will find a thriving village offering a range of independent shops and a large number of restaurants, pubs, and cafes. There is also a farmers' market with fresh local produce on Sundays. There is a large Tesco supermarket 5 mins down the road and a M&S supermarket on the other side of Royal Greenwich Park. The nearby villages of Greenwich, Blackheath, and Standard have many local shops and provides services such as dry cleaning, bakers, butchers, groceries, florist, banking, post offices, etc. A car share scheme is 2 mins from the apartment (see www.streetcar.co.uk).
