We arrived at the Rossmore Hotel in Ilford, East London to find that our room wasn't ready - even though it was 2:30PM. When we finally got into the room at around 3PM we found that the Kettle provided was full of brown liquid that smelled like stale URINE!!! I took the Kettle to reception and complained - they apologized and promised a replacement asap - this took 48 hours and several more complaints to materialize. The Hotel advertises a fully licensed bar but this was not open, when I inquired why I was informed that it only opened Monday to Thursday (this was a Friday evening). A fellow guest who had been staying for the previous 7 day said that it had not been opened at all - even though it was advertised both on the Website and on the sign outside. Some friends of ours who also stayed there at the same time as we did had a room with no heating, they complained and were moved to a room with a water leak. They also had a large metal shower head fall off onto the one of them whilst showering!!
I heard people complaining of being charged twice for the same room and of MICE in the room.
All in all this was the WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!!!

We booked a family room but none left, so we were put in two doubles in anex, five minuit walk from hotel and we had to go back to hotel for breakfast in the rain,good self service breakfast, brill rooms, only problems were 1. we had to boile kettle on floor not good with children no socket at table hight,2.Light in shower was hinging from ceiling, live 240 volts big danger.
All in All nice stay will book again.

“ I booked this hotel for 1 night and I totally regret it! Its by far the WORST hotel that I have been to! The room was small and dark! I paid for an en-suite bathroom (bathroom attached to the room), instead we got a separate bathroom opposite the room (outside the room)....this was very inconveniant for us! I spoke to the receptionist who just apologised and said they havent got another room which is not good enough! I simply wanted what I paid for! The stairs were rubbish and small and needs repair..I was wondering how old people will go up these damn stairs and they dont have a lift! the only thing I liked about the hotel was the location but thats it! From the outside the hotel looks nice and decent, but when you go inside and see the rooms....u realise its NOT! I recommend people to pay £5-10 more and get a better hotel as that is what I am going to. Im never going to that hotel again!
“ Top Tip: opposite valentines park which is good but hotel sucks! Pay £5-10 more and get a better hotel.. trust me it will be worth it!

“ i was not really happy with the accommodation because it was on the third floor and here were no lifts, the stairs were very narrow, the room did not have any fridge, no air conditioning, the bed was too close the the radiator and the space between that was too narrow, one had to squeeze through the space in order to get to / open the window. room was too small for 4 people
“ Top Tip: there were lots of bus routes to the city and restaurants, a variety of shops and a beautiful park just opposite hotel. fantastic
