“ The hotel was pleasant. They gave me a lovely room which was huge and upgraded to executive. The staff were friendly and the location brilliant.
“ Top Tip: I only stayed one night and I went to a ball at the hotel so I did not need to go out for restaurants.

“ the location was excellent for our needs, the staff were very efficient, but the room we were given was way below satisfactory, it was very shabby and very much in need of modernisation. the bathroom was even worse, very run down, very old and we were quite surprised that hotel with 4 stars would let out rooms in this condition.

“ room check in was delayed due to somebody staying untill 6pm in the room allocated to us (not good enough for a hotel of this quality). no tea & coffee facilities in the room;£13 for 1 tea & coffee to the room. power went off in the room after being there just 5 minutes! overall disappointing.

“ The staff were excellent, polite, friendly and attentive. Sadly the hotel is a little shabby and, in my opinion, not up to 5 star standards.
“ Top Tip: Enjoyed a dinner at Langan's Brasserie, expensive but worthwhile, also at a more modest establishment in Shepards Market called, I think, The Corner. Good value.
