I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions, I particulary like it as it's central to Railway and good taxi service, and easy from airport

Top Tip My favourite restaurant is Alberts Shed but it's a taxi fare which I don't mind

the hotel is hyp and very good value for money. very comfortable with a good bed and perfect bathroom. we were served a very good breakfast in the restaurant. the decor of the hotel is very contemporary but not cold. for me the best value for money city hotels in britain. I've stayed very often at the Manchester MALMAISON as well as the one in Newcastle.

Top Tip close to the station and walking distance from chinatown for some great restaurants

Lovely hotel right in the heart of the City. A stones throw from Canal Street and 10 minutes walk to some of the best shopping in the area.

Good staff were always happy to help and I loved the spa/massage area. Just wish it had a swimming pool too.

The hotel was well located for people coming by train to Manchester. The rooms were nicely furnished and the breakfasts very filling. Although in a busy area there wasn't any intrusive traffic noise and the comfortable beds made for a good night's sleep.

Overall the hotel was lovely - breakfast was really good. Service was good. The room was nice but one of the light bulbs was about to go and there were rips in the nets on the window - only commenting on these as it's a 4 star hotel which I would have expected all elements to be perfect. I would go back and use travel republic as I got a great deal.

Top Tip Primark is just down the road from the hotel...we stayed at the hotel as we were going to old trafford for Soccer Aid - hotel was a good location for the town centre and the stadium was only 10 mins in a taxi.

We thought Malmaison in Manchester was excellent. In fact, it was even better than when I last stayed there 5 years ago. This hotel pays real attention to detail. You can borrow DVDs from a list at reception and the late-night drinks/room service is as good as earlier in the day.

Only improvement area would be the breakfast space. The food is brilliant, they just don't have enough tables for all the guests.

Otherwise, top marks!

Top Tip Bar at the top of the Hilton Hotel is wonderful for views of the city and great cocktails and service. Get there at 5pm as you'll need to queue a bit.

My wife and I stopped in the Malmaison in Manchester on Friday 4th June 2010. The hotel is superbly situated within a stone throw away from Manchester Piccadily. Upon check-in we had Jimmy Carr standing behind us waiting to check-in. We had our dinner on the friday afternoon and then our breakfast the following day and both were excellent. Room was fantastic with black out blind, fridge, sky sports and very good sized bathroom.

Would definatley recommend this hotel. 10/10!!

Top Tip Top Tip - Try the Mal Burger!! Its monsterous!!!

This is a great hotel located 5 - 10 mins walk to the centre of Manchester and the main shopping areas.
The hotel is very modern with a some nice touches for breakfast, overall a very enjoable stay.

Top Tip For good priced drinks in Manchester try 'Tiger Tiger' (near the Printworks) which has Happy Hour 5.00 pm - 9.00 pm (yes that's every day) and also serves good food

The hotel was very nice classy although we did have to transfer rooms as they put us in a room with a flashing lightbulb in the bathroom, tatty curtains and the size of a shoe box. They immediately upgraded us to a beautiful superior room.
The food was very good and average priced but the drinks are very expensive.
The staff have got to the most polite and helpful people I have ever witnessed in any hotel. Nothing was too much trouble.
On the down side they couldn't find my booking but it didn't seem a problem.
If you want something a little different I would definitely recommend .

I had a brilliant stay. The hotel was clean and very chic. The service was good. I had no complaints what so ever. I would certainly recommend this hotel. It also had its own spa which i believe is very good as a friend has recommended it. I did not have the time to try it out. Booking it on your site was easy and the most competitively priced.

Top Tip This is the place to stay - its walking distance to the train station and town centre where all the shops are.

Hotel was fine but very disappointing to find a double room had been allocated despite the fact that I had specifically booked a twin. No spare rooms at the hotel on that night meant the hotel had to add a temporary bed to the room. A good night's sleep did not follow...

The hotel was great, but the only downside was that my husband slipped on the tiles outside the sauna in the spa area and sprained his wrist, which affected our driving during the holidays. He reported it to the hotel and they filled in an accident report form. They need to put something non-slippy such as decking on the area outside the sauna and showers. Apart from that the hotel was excellent.
