Open in April 2009 The Hatters offers modern and spacious en-suite private double rooms and twin rooms with the softest beds you're ever likely to fall into secure electronic key card access as well as TVs and wifi internet connection. Our multi rooms are all en-suite and sleep up to six persons comfortably and will suit families or groups of friends coming to the city. No TV's in these rooms however as we try to do what we can to help others in dormitories get some rest. We provide a more customer friendly and intimate alternative to big hotels and hostels with a better atmosphere and the most customer friendly staff you will find. Your security is paramount to us with CCTV throughout the property as well as a 24 hour manned reception desk with buzzer access to the building.Facilities included in the price: 24 hour unlimited teacoffee and toast with jam in our fully equipped self catering kitchen internet access television and games rooms and in-depth local knowledge provided by happy and most obliging staff. Cook for yourself or your family in our kitchen which is well equipped with hobs microwaves and all the utensils you will need to cook up a storm. Meet fellow travellers in our spacious TV lounge with big soft leather couches and flat screen TV and large movie screen for film nights and football plus a BBQ and outdoor patio area. We also have an internet room for those who do not travel with laptops. If you have a laptop you can avail of our polka spots wifi access available throughout the building. Please bring photo ID with you - you need it to check in! Drivers license passport or valid student ID

“ Hotel was a good base for seeing the city. Clean and basic with friendly staff. The only draw back is some of the other people staying there were noisy and rude, on one night there was banging and arguing at 3.am. This is a hostel and has young people staying there so it can get roundy. I would stay again but not with my son.
“ Top Tip: A lovely chip shop called Lobser Pot. Nice!

“ Room was clean and basic, had all you needed for a city break. Unfortunately the tv was broken the weekend we stayed so we didn't stay too long in the room for this reason. Also the walls are very thin, you can hear everything going on in other rooms and the corridors so you just have to get lucky and hope the other guests wont make a racket!
