Cullen Bay Hotel

“ We only stayed one night, but the room was fine. Water was not very hot early evening when we needed to bathe before going to a function. Staff were friendly and helpful; breakfast was excellent.

Unfortunately, on returning after midnight, we found ourselves locked out! This was partly our own fault as we did not read the notice requesting that we leave our room keys at reception. In mitigation, we did inform reception of our expected late return and were told that there was always someone on the reception desk, but no verbal instruction to leave our keys was given. As the door bell did not function, all our paper work was locked in the room and there was no phone number on the door, we fortunately thought of ringing some friends who managed to alert the staff of the hotel who let us in!

As a suggestion, guests could be made more aware of leaving keys, have a doorbell working and a phone number on the door........it could have been a lot worse!

Bar and food very good and service prompt and food all well presented.

would go back there agsin and would reommend to friends.
