“ Hotel was worn out and shabby and the room really "tired". Gym and swimming pool were closed and no warning had been given in advance. Very disappointing and overpriced considering the above. With considerable refurbishment it could be very good.
“ Top Tip: No. Location for anything in St Helens area is excellent but access by road is extremely confusing.

“ The fabric of the Hotel is now very shabby. Chairs in the bedroom which originally were varnished now have very little varnish left and this also applied to the wardrobes and dressing table. The staff and service was excellent however. The property generally is in need of major refurbisment. I have also emailed Park Inn saying much the same

“ The room was too cold. Not enough warm bedding in the room. As we arrived late back at the hotel, we thought it was too late to advise any one. Perhaps we should have done.
