A Traditional family run inn situated in the village of Burniston 4 miles north of Scarborough and 16 miles south of Whitby just of the A171 A friendly local bar with a warm welcome offering a well stocked bar with a selection of real ales Tetleys John Smiths and Black Sheep. The Inn Opens Monday to Friday from 5.00pm Saturday from 2.30pm and Sunday from 12 noon. We also offer Homecooked Bar meals with Special boards cooked and prepared by ChefLandlord Dave Kemp and his team using fresh local produce were possible from Fresh Fish dishes Homemade Individual Steak pie Fresh Chicken dishes Gammon and a selection of Steaks Food is available Tuesday to Saturday from 5.30 till 8.30pm and Sunday lunch 12 till 2.00pm. Traditional decor with an open log fire enhancing your comfort in the winter and patio doors lead to a undercover heated smoking area and garden seating. Car parking available 5 en-suite bedrooms (4 double and 1 twin) are situated above the inn with a seperate entrance leading to the carpark Over the years the Oakwheel has become a popular place to stay for touring the many places of interest either by car walking or local bus from the village with routes to Scarborough and whitby.
