Galtres Lodge

The lodge is a Georgian brick building with heating throughout sympathetically restored in such a way as to retain the warmth and character of the original house. There are thirteen bedrooms comprising single double and twin-bedded accommodation and some rooms open onto a view of the famous Rose Window of the Minster. Our rooms are serviced daily.Half of the accommodation is en suite with two rooms having half-tester beds. For those without private facilities there is ample bathroom capacity including showers and all remaining rooms are fitted with washhand basins and some with WC. Galtres Lodge is situated in the centre of York giving an unprecedented feeling of seclusion in bustling austere settings. All of York's major attractions are only a moments stroll away with the Minster literally just round the corner (see the map on your directions page).The lodge is licensed and everything from a quick snack to a full three course meal is available throughout the day (see opening times). Situated within the lodge is our restaurant Michael's Brasserie which prides itself on its innovative menu.
