“ my partner was late but that was not a problem to staff staff were the tops male reception manager was atrue gent helpfull to the end and breakfast staff were perfect room 15 was mine ideal a slight tip to improve .a bottle of free drinking water would be most welcome apart from that ten out of ten

“ We stayed at The Minster Hotel for three nights over the Bank Holiday weekend and it was wonderful. So close to all the shops, pubs. The car park is brilliant because we just parked the car and were able to travel on foot and the tour buses, excellent. Even once we had checked out the hotel allowed us to leave the car in the car park whilst we went into York, very good. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is all freshly cooked and was lovely and plenty of it too. We had a family room and it was spacious, and very clean, a beautiful bathroom too. We will definitely return to the Minster Hotel and we will be recommending it to friends and family.

“ Breakfast as always with the Hilton was excellent, unfortunately we had booked a twin room ....ROOM 106 - to be avoided at all costs .... noise in room/cupboard next door - or the roller shutters for the car park kept us awake most of the night.

This two star family owned city centre hotel comprises a collection of six listed buildings around a courtyard setting. The oldest building (pictured) dates from 1659. Situated on Skeldergate the ancient Roman waterfront that now leads from the city walls across the river to the historic city. The convenient location combined with the hotels scenic setting is ideal for exploring York and the surrounding area. The railway station and all major attractions are within easy walking distance. The University and other business areas are also easily accessible from the hotel. A full range of facilities include guest parking a restaurant serving English cooking a bar and lounge area and a health and fitness centre with counter current fitness pool (booking required) sauna and CV equipment (children are welcome to use the fitness centre though there are some restrictions for those under 18). “ Friendly staff, good breakfast (buffet fry up) heated pool was great and very close to york centre. If i was being really picky the only drawback was the changing room for the pool or gym as it is a distance away. Would go back anytime i'm in York.
