We spent a wonderful weekend at Slaley Hall - we attended a night-time party event (opted through Groupon) which was a fantastic success - food and attentive wait-on service in fine-dining area was the icing on the cake - they could not have made any profit from this event - hope they have more!
The rest of the weekend proved a success too - breakfast to suit all tastes. I have been to Slaley Hall many times and always sorry to leave.
Recommended!
p.s. thought the hot water could have been hotter - my only reservation!

Top Tip:
The area is of outstanding beauty and couldn't fail to impress - Derwent reservoir is nearby and also the historic towns of Hexham and Corbidge. For eating out the Manor Hotel is further along the Darlington Road - wonderful reviews there.
Keilder Forest is not that far out and should be visited if staying for a longer duration than a weekend.
Northumberlandd is a hidden treasure and I am sure the tourist will find that out for themselves as long as they keep it secret.

A golf resort, but also a very relaxing place for a few days 'getaway'. Service was good and staff very pleasant and helpful.
We ate informally in the bar, but really enjoyed the food.
We plan to visit again.
