This is university accomodation of a good standard located in a quiet square a short walk from the city centre - a really nice setting. I had a good sized single bedroom with ensuite; I do not know if they offer doubles as well. It was on the top floor and, although a lift was available, sets of stairs also have to be negotiated which may be a challenge to some.
I was looking for 'good-enough' quality for a brief overnight stay between business meetings in Oxford city and this was just that. However I felt it was above average overall in terms of value for money for the lovely setting and convenience for all the sights and facilities of the city.
I would use it again for a similar situation but not for a leisure stay.

This Oxford hotel is a purpose-built Holiday Inn. 154 bedroomed hotel- WIFI and broadband situated on the north side of this historic University City. The Hotel is ideally located next to the A34 trunk road with easy access to the M40 Silverstone and M4 motorways. The hotel offers a modern relaxing environment for either a business or leisure stay in Oxford. With ample free parking the hotel is situated in an ideal location for travel into Oxford. The city offers a priority Park and Ride bus service which is located next to the hotel. The extensive Spirit Health Club is also available to our guests offering a large gym and large indoor heated swimming pool complimented by Spa and Beauty therapists.

“ The carpet in the hotel corridors smelled as though they hadn't been cleaned in years. The 'premium' rooms were much smaller than expected. This hotel clearly caters to the elderly as we were the only clientele younger than 60. For this reason, the staff felt they could be rude and threaten to kick us out just for talking late at night. Would NOT recommend or revisit.

“ Nice hotel, nice room, nice breakfast. The hotel is about a 30 min walk away from Oxford but you can get there along the Thames towpath which was nice on a crisp November afternoon. Would definitely stay again.
