If you like traditional home-cooked food and real Ale served from the barrel you'll love The Talbot. Trevor Johnson formerly the manager of Colley's Supper Rooms famous for its six course meals has brought his culinary skills to bare at this beautiful Oxfordshire pub which now proudly presents a mouth-watering menu of freshly prepared fair. From his own recipe for homemade bread and butter pudding with grand marnier to traditional Cottage Pie you'll find the Talbot easy to find but hard to leave.

“ Very friendly staff, great service, comfortable room, excellent bar meals, great bus service, further out from Oxford than we thought.

“ Top Tip: we traveled into Oxford on a frequent bus service saved the hassle of taking thecar. The Talbot Inn has excellant food.

“ The room, recently completed, was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
The downsides were: the fairly busy road, but it did quieten down later in the evening and the pub food, which, apart from breakfast, was only average.

“ Top Tip: We found an excellent food-pub in Wilton, 'the Fleece' which was only 20 minutes' drive away.
There is a frequent bus into Oxford from outside the pub, very convenient, and a Park and Ride not far away.
