The Hotel is basically situated at the Gate to Blenheim palace and provides excellent access. Woodstock is a beautiful little town and the guest house is in a lovely historic building.
We had a a very warm Welcome by the owner. She could not have been more hospitable. The (family)room was very comfortable and the beds were good.
The family room is on the second floor and the narrow steep stairs might be an issue for older people however most other rooms are at the first floor.
The huge Breakfast in the morning was excellent and kept us all going for the rest of the day.
The owner was very nice to our 4 and 5 year old son and daughter and offered them hot chocolate free of charge. All in all I would highly recommend it.
“ Top Tip: The Kings Arms Pub provided a really good meal (great hamburger from pure meat and no horrible stuff). It was very reasonably priced and the owner was very friendly and a great host.

We received a warm welcome after our long journey from Durham. Our room, which was on the second floor, was large and comfortable, but the two flights of stairs may prove to be problematic for the less agile - particularly if carrying heavy luggage. The room was also nice and warm - in spite of the -6 degrees outside. Hearty breakfasts, cooked to order competed a most enjoyable stay.

Top Tip:
Blenheim Palace, a 10 - 15 minute walk away, is magnificent and a 'Must See' venue for anyone visiting the area. We were attending a function at the palace in the evening, but decided to visit during the day and were very pleased we did. At £18 for adults and £14.50 for concessions, it is not cheap but is nevertheless worth every penny.
In Woodstock, there are plenty of bars and restaurants serving reasonably priced good food, so there is no need to travel out of this quaint little town, unless you want to, to find something to eat.
