Rooms small but clean and comfortable, breakfast was good value. However, some rooms are not in the main hotel but a prefab buidling behind the car park which is not advised when making the booking.
However, the location, just a ten minute taxi from the centre, or by 30 minute riverboat ride is superb and if you ask for a river view even better.
“ Top Tip: The Bathhampton Mill, a five minute walk from the hotel, to the right of the toll bridge has an excellent restaurant. You must book in advance.

“ Arriving at lunchtime we were given excellent directions (as enquired for how we could walk there) from the hotel to the City along the Canal which was a delightful easy walk. All staff really helpful. Room not in the hotel but in a lodge, which necessitated walking outside (we had beautiful weather though). The room was fabulous, clean and up to date except for the lamps which sadly were a little tired and not as clean as the rest of the room. The beds were so comfortable but as twins were too narrow (I fell out, when I turned over!). The breakfast whilst only serving 'simple' white and brown toasted bread served a beautiful and delicious variety. Whilst no fresh fruit, dried fruits and tinned grapefruit, an array of cereals and many fruit juices are available The egg and bacon we chose was delightful and the following day the the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon (all included in the price) was superb. We had to ask for an extra glass and biscuits for the bedroom, although this was placed in the room immediately. Some of the furniture has wearing and some chairs in the dining room were torn and in the lounge area the leather is torn on one chair. For the reasons above I have deducted some marks. Value for money - excellent. I do not hesitate to recommend and would return. Thank you.
“ Top Tip: A beautiful walk into the centre of Bath along the canal.

The staff were all helpful and courteous. The outlook was over the river and fields was very relaxing. We - there were 4 of us altogether - enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The room looked nice and a lot of money had been spent on the bathroom tiles and fitments.
What spoilt out stay was having the most uncomfortable mattress we had ever slept (intermittently) on - we could feel the springs but no padding - and a shower where the temperature of the water kept swinging between cold and scalding
“ Top Tip: If needs be, use the toll bridge - it's only 60p and a real time saver
