“ They couldn't find my booking confirmation and even after showing them my email confirmation, it still took them 2 hours to allow us to check into our room. Room was of a good standard but annoyed that we could not stay for an extra 2 hours considering we were not allowed in our room, which was already paid for

This traditional hotel maintains most of its original architecture. The hotel stands in a prime position within walking distance of New Street staion all major stores and the Bullring shopping centre. The 214 en-suite bedrooms are refreshingly decorated and comfortable with TV Telephone Hairdryer Trouser Press and Tea and Coffee making facilities. View your meals being cooked by the Chef in this open style kitchen and dine in style. Bar rogue is a relaxed and quiet bar that allows you to wind down with a drink or two. There are 10 Conference rooms available for any occasion and can cater for up to 200 people. WIFI is free to all guests and is available in all public areas of the hotel.
“ Great location for a city break very central. Room was on the 4th floor and decor good, clean bathroom a little dated, but good, very good shower. Negatives - difficult to find in a car, due to it's location.

“ Not exactly "five-star," but neither is the price! Warm, comfortable, and clean room and en-suite. Good menu choice for main meals and bar-snacks, with affordable selection of both. Extremely friendly and helpful Reception staff. Well situated for central-city shopping, trains, and sight-seeing. Would definitely stay again.

Additionally, the close proximity to Birmingham City Centre means that it is ideal venue for taking advantage of the fantastic shopping facilities and Birmingham's buzzing night life. “ the bathroom ceiling was covered in mould, the bathroom bin was broken and the shower curtain had seen better days. The fixtures had been sealed with silicone and was very shabby. it was only for one night so was acceptable. the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
