The good bits; The hotel is just opposite Jumeriah (public) beach which is clean, safe, lovely and easy to get to. The hotel provide beach towels, chairs and water all free of charge.
The hotel is situated on The Walk so there are lots of very good and reasonably priced restaurants. There is no alchohol available in any of the restaurants along The Walk, although it can be bought in the hotel, at slightly higher than normal prices (don't expect English prices).
The hotel staff are friendly, the place is clean and pretty much what you would expect from a 5* hotel however....
The not-so-good bits; The pool is very nice but small and with a limitted number of sun loungers that are normally all occupied by 10am. The food at breakfast is very good but let down by the service; having to ask for coffee more than once, or a cup to drink it from, or butter is too common. Not all the time, but enough to be annoying. The maid service is inconsistent; tissue boxes not refreshed when empty, no spare loo roll in the bathrooms. All in all, a good experience with just a few niggles that they can improve on.
“ Top Tip: Dubai changes year on year and there is always something new. Be a tourist and do some research before you go. There are new attractions like the Dubai Mall and all sorts that are very new. Go to the Souk Madinat and go to the Anar Persian restaurant. Brilliant service and food and nicely the head chef came out for a chat.

“ Excellent location with direct access to Jumeirah beach, our room was very well equipped. Breakfast buffet was exceptionally good. However, the level of service makes this hotel stand heads above most others. All requests are dealt with immediately and for once there are enough staff to ensure a fantastic service. The public areas, carpets and other facilities of the hotel are spotlessly clean unlike other hotels which we visited during our stay.
