Al Bustan Rotana Hotel

“ Early check-in was available after an overnight flight from the UK. Meet and greet on arrival and at reception was very good. Third floor Club Room reception team were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and ready for occupation. Leisure facilities were well managed and poolside staff were attentive without being overbearing. Disappointed that I could not obtain breafast tea bags in my room but a good choice of other beverages avalable. Security was intrusive but the staff were very helpful. Great breakfast buffet. Check-out was well managed. Near the Airport and the Metro but the ambient noise did not affect an enjoyable 8 day visit.

“ Top Tip: Great entertainment and choice of restaurants next door at the Meridien Airport Hotel. "The Terrace" - Buffet and live African band/dancing, also Jules Bar - Live Music/Disco till late.

Don't visit during Airshow Week. The American Forces occupied the whole of the third floor and I had to swap rooms.

“ Stayed here for three nights to break up a long journey to the Far East and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The hotel is lovely and very close to the airport so a quick transfer. We checked in during the early hours of the morning and the staff were so helpful and obliging. We stayed in a Royal Club room and the Club lounge facilities were very good. The pool area isn't huge but there was never a problem finding a comfy lounger to sit on and the whole experience was very relaxing. The hotel is very clean and fresh and the service is excellent. We would recommend to family and friends.

“ Top Tip: We took the free shuttle bus to the City Centre Mall then returned to the hotel in a taxi which only cost 12 AED.

“ Hotel does what it says. It is near the airport (a few hundred metres from T1). The staff are attentive, and the hotel very clean. The pool is great (in sun from 10.00am on most parts of the pool). Food and drink are very expensive poolside. The restaurants all have special offers on different days and also offer all in drinks inclusive which helps a lot. Can be noisy by the pool because you are right next to the main airport raod so you get the car humming noise prevelant to a main road. The aircraft are not too noisy considering the proximity. You are also near the new metro (walk to T1 in 10 mins) so handy for getting around if you want to avoid the taxis. If your room faces the hotel next door be prepared for partying noises at the weekend (and most nights actually). Having said that the hotel next door has some great offers and restaurants as well. You are near to Deira City Centre (a mall) which we found better than the Dubai Mall and Emirates mall simply because it has a Debenhams and Carrefour which catered for us well - especially buying European shaped clothes. Bikinis in Debenhams were best in Dubai.

“ Top Tip: The hotel restaurants were very good. All inclusive with drinks helped a lot. Hotel next door should be useful if staying a few days anyway.
