Older style Hilton, but value for money. Rooms recently refurbished so fine although the slightly musty smell mentioned by a previous reviewer is still around - just got to live with it, it didn't spoil things. Staff great and friendly, food and bar prices pretty good value for money. Hotel just at the edge of Fujairah city, so driving in to see things is easy (Fujairah is very small compared to Dubai/Abu Dhabi or Sharjah). Beach is no great shakes - small strip and it's not as though you can have long romantic walks at sunset.
We were unlucky with the weather, very windy and sand storms so even sitting around the pool was uncomfortable. Pool quite small so fills up quickly if a lot of guests are staying.
“ Top Tip: Ate one evening at Taj Mahal rest. in town, decent food, reasonable value for money, portion sizes fairly large. Drove home to Abu Dhabi the long way round, North to Dibba, follow signs to Sharjah/Dubai/Emirates road. Nice drive and made a change from only motorway driving - still a good 4-lane highway though
