Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort

“ The hotel was fantastic. The people are very friendly and the food fantastic. It is the best hotel my family and I have been to. There is a kids pool (shaded from the strong sun) with slides, water jets, swings etc that my daughter loved. The large pool is very suitable for adults and children. There is also a complementary supervised kids club with different activities.

The only downside was that renovation work was being done to the main restauraunt. We were not made aware of this before travel which was disappointing. It didn't spoil the holiday but did make eating slightly more cramped and not quite as relaxing. I strongly recommend that any work at or near a hotel should be reported before travel.

“ Top Tip: The hotel is isolated but the numerous restauraunts at the hotel and theme nights give plenty of variation.

“ Staff were amazingly helpful and everything in hotel is as I would expect from a 5 *. Only thing that was not impressed by (not the hotel to blame) was the lack of dress code for evening meals. Smart casual does not mean sports kit to me. Also some eastern european are not aware of how annoying it is to constantly hear mobile phone beeping when having a nice romantic dinner in one of the fantastic restaurants.

Food in the "Views" restaurant was always first class and this is where you eat when having "inclusive" meals. Definately go back again

“ Top Tip: Al Boom Dive centre had very good staff and training facilities. Recommend doing the PADI online training before going so on arrival you can just go straight in the pool and get wet instead of spending some of your holiday time in a classroom :-)

“ We are family of five.Kids aged 21,19&17.We had excellent short break recently in Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort.I think it could've been boring to the kids if we stayed longer time because there isn't much to do to their age group.One suggestion is to have cinema club by having big screen.Wi Fi in the rooms would've been handy &useful.

“ Top Tip: golden fork restuarant in khorfkan about 20km from the hotel serves good quality food &it's good value for money.
