“ was ok but room was noisy because near a road , and having a maintenance man painting a wall in your room when you arrive not good ,breakfast good , restaurant prices were very pricey and needs some background music no atmosphere

“ My second visit in a month, an overnight stay to be closer to my end destination next day. Very much a hotel plus golf course, and has the feel of a corporate event site, but cannot be faulted on cleanliness, facilities, staff friendliness (apart from one grumpy barman verging on rudeness). And after trying the restaurant last time, I went for the bar meal this time and it was very good (as was the buffet breakfast). Great value at the special weekend break deal I got through Travel Republic only a few days before my stay.

“ Top Tip: Not in walking distance of anything, except the golf club, but hotel caters well.

“ Lovely location beside the lakes and golf course, a bright airy hotel clearly designed for corporate functions but perfectly good for a weekend break. Room was faultless, clean and spacious. The main bar had a delightful outside area beside the scenic lakes. Food was available as light bar meals or the main restaurant - though I chose the restaurant I would in future choose the bar meals as I found the former was rather expensive. Breakfast was self service and of a high quality, though some aircon would not go amiss where the food was laid out, it was extremely warm! Finally, I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful.

“ Top Tip: Very much a golf hotel, worth investigating if you are a partaker. Really convenient for the A1, near to Bedford and the famous Shuttleworth aircraft collection.

“ Very accessable location, junction A1/A428. Friendly staff very helpful and good service. would stay again. The only downside was a large religious convention which was staying at the Hotel and all got up to pray at 5.30 in the morning!
