The rooms are a little tired and could do with being re-furbed, however for the price we paid it was certainly acceptable to use as a base. The breakfast was buffet style with a good selection and was good.
The bar area in the evening was cold and uninviting which probably contributed to it being largely empty on a bank holiday weekend although the barman was very pleasant.

we appreciate the Britania has a
floor of rooms for smokers
the downside is that they have started charging
to park your car I think this is petty
but it did not spoil our stay
and we will stay there again

“ The room was surprisingly spacious and lovley and warm! The bed was awfully uncomfortable and the decor is looking a little tired, but it served our purpose well. The Staff could not have been nicer - extremely helpful and friendly and very flexible........putting themselves out to ensure that the guests had everything they needed. Certainly we would rate the Customer Care as superb. Will stay there again.

Very noisy and cleanliness not up to standard. Had decided to stay an extra night but changed our minds after a sleepless night (through noise outside).
However after complaining were moved to a sister hotel which was Heathlands. A difference of chalk and cheese, very nice, and where our future business will be.
