Although our room (the third grade up) seemed a bit "Austen Powers" at first (bright pinks and purples and a strange "star trek holodeck before the programme is activated" carpet) it grew on you. It was funky and very "north laines" - crystals, mandalas and apparently "feng shui'd". Had a great two nights sleep so maybe it all worked perfectly. Floor to ceiling windows with a v comfortable window seat were lovely. You could sit and people watch, and with the Brighton Festival being in full swing that was quite something. (Although, do be careful as at first I thought the windows were one-way - opaque from outside so no one could see in from the street - every other hotel we have stayed in with large windows like the has been! So, I reassured my husband - who was half undressed that he would be ok there to sit there, read his book and drink a glass of champagne in his boxers. Unfortunately, you could see in from the street below. He only realised this when he got "eyed up" by some guy passing underneath! He entered into the Brighton spirit though by raising his glass and giving the bloke a big smile ! (but then ran back into the room in howels of laughter accusing me of stitching him up - he felt as if he were in Amsterdam!)

Overall though lovely hotel and wonderful friendly helpful staff. Couldnt park there as full but Got good discount on the nearby NCP parking, and as Brighton has extortionate parking rates this was very welcome. Didn't eat here as we were out at a social occasion with a large group of friends/family but the restaurant has good reviews and decor etc looked nice. Got a good discount through Travelocity and we will be back next time we want a weekend away in this fantastic city.

Lovely stay and would definitely recommend Myhotel.

Top Tip: Central North Laines so close to great shops, restaurants, pubs, theatres etc. Also handy to have a Tescos directly opposite for essential supplies etc.
