“ Hotel was tired in places but they were in the process of painting the outside so looks like it is being done up. The room was clean with a comfortable bed with clean sheets and plenty of hot water. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as there are many places in town that offer this, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you into town for £2 or it is about a 25 min walk. Have no compalints about the hotel and would stay there again.

“ A rather tired looking hotel that needs some of its profits re-invested in it. Staff were all younger people, but pleasant enough, needed a manager at front of house to meet, greet and ensure things are being kept tidy. The room we were allocated was OK, but the matress was well past its sell by date. We did not eat there as it seemed rather expensive for what it was. The bar closed at 11.00pm, unless you gave them a credit card number, as cash was'nt allowed after this time, not come across this before anywhere in the world. I would give it 5 out of 10, needs money spending on it, have stayed in better for the money.

“ There was a slight mix up when I checked in, the hotel thought that breakfast wasn't included although the rate I paid included it. However, this was quickly rectified. Great location, right next to the Brighton Centre where we were seeing a show and opposite the beach.

“ Good location if you are on a stag or hen do. very noisy at night and did not settle down till around 3am! Hotel is tired and fairly basic. Clean but not special and expensive for it! Don't think I would stay there again. Staff ok.

Ainsley House is situated on the stylish Steine Square in Brighton and enjoys good views of the Pier. With a seaside location, all attractions are nearby.
“ Convenient location and run by a very friendly, helpful and amusing lady who was the best feature of the place. Rather cramped rooms and ours only had toilet and wash-basin, with a shared shower room just outside on the landing.
