Built in 1864 the hotel landed a great spot on the seafront. Sweep down the original Regency staircase for international dishes in the Arts Restaurant overlooking the sea. Outside stroll along Brighton Pier go boutique shopping in The Lanes and marvel at the Indian-inspired Royal Pavillion all just one mile from the hotel. Brighton's beach and promenade are directly opposite the Mercure Brighton Seafront hotel. Brighton railway station with direct connections to London is a mile away. We have a limited number of car-parking spaces they are first come first served and are chargeable at £15.00 per night. This hotel is now completely Non smoking. Two of our eight meeting rooms have sea views and our Victorian ballroom with original chandeliers is perfect for celebrations. Fluffy white duvets flat-screen TVs and Internet access are in all Standard rooms at our Mercure Brighton Seafront hotel. Choose an Executive room for wooden furnishings and free movies or upgrade to an Executive Sea view.

Very dissapointed with room. Very hot. No air conditioning.

NON SMOKING HOTEL. Refurbished sea side hotel in the heart of Brighton and close to the rail station. Large enough to meet both individual and corporate needs we are small enough to guarantee your personal attention. Close to the Brighton Centre and Churchill Square shopping centre. Magnificent sea view. Group bookings by prior arrangement only. We only have a very limited space carpark for 11 cars on a first come first served basis (£15 chargeable). Free WiFi conection through complete building.

small room, even smaller bed, which I could put up with this but not even a proper double bed is unforgivable at the at the price really especially when the room would easily accommodated a slightly larger bed. no full bathroom, small shoehorned in shower-room, basin unusable unless you want to get wet! way too many up and down stairs.

There was no plug in the sink and the bathroom smelt musty. Tap covers on shower were missing. The room had all the necessaries and the staff were helpful. It is in a good location and near to all types of entertainment.

This hotel has a lot of potential, but is let down by a few things - normally I love full English breakfasts, but the sausages were pretty horrible and only having hardboiled eggs as standard was not good, although you could request others.
