Upper Ansdore Farmhouse dates from the XIVth century with later additions. The house once belonged to Sir William Cockaine a former Lord Mayor of London in 1619 and is mentioned in Hasted's history of Kent. Situated in a Sylvan setting with far reaching views across the valley in a quiet area away from all the traffic. It overlooks a Kent trust nature reserve. You are assured of a warm welcome and a full English breakfast with our own free range eggs etc. Excellent location for walking cycling and exploring the surrounding areas. Lyminge Forest and Kent Nature Reserve both one mile. Access to the North Downs Way four miles. 18 hole golf course at Canterbury 6 miles Howletts Zoo Park 6 miles horse riding available at the local stables in the village.

Take the B2068 to Hythe after 31/2 miles turn right to Petham proceed for a mile to the centre of the village past the Tudor house turn left fork signed elmstead ( Duckpit Road) 1/1/2 miles turn right to Upper Ansdore 1/4 mile ( no through road ) go to the end of this lane carry on up ther private road to the house. From M20 after approxamately 10 miles turn by the Chequers pub Left in to the village T junction turn left then Left fork into Duckpit road.;
