“ We throughly enjoyed our weekend at the Hallmark Hotel. The staff were very friendly and professional and the rooms were certainly up to 4* quality. We found no faults with the service or quality.
“ Top Tip: Plenty of eating places in the city of Carlisle also castle and museum in walking distance, no need to use a car

The hotel from the website looked very attractive and has very clever photography.
Downstairs at reception and bar area are very nice and look newly refurbished. However when you reach the rooms its a different story, beds are very nice and TV are abviously new but thats where it ends,bathroom looks like something out of the fifties and is need of total refurbishment.
Overall it was OK but definetely not worth the money in its current state, I would say £60 inc breakfast for 2 people would be a fairer price.
