“ Visited The Oxford Belfry for a business conference so quick checking in and out is important to me. Both were very quick and efficient. The room was large and very comfortable and had everything I needed. However it was a little cold upon arrival and again in the morning and I couldn't see any way to heat the room myself. (I tried the radiator but nothing happened). My dinner and breakfast were very tasty and the leisure facilities were a luxury that I enjoyed in the evening and morning. I also was in a conference during the day and the food was also good here, however the drinks not so good. On the two occasions I came to get coffee, once there was no milk or spoons and on the second time there was no sugar or milk. Coffee is very important to most people at a conference!! I would stay at the hotel again and recommend it for sure.

“ The room was clean and a good size. Tea and coffee were provided. I missed not having a safe in the room to store valuables when we went out. Breakfast was a buffet style and was good.

“ The hotel itself was really nice, with lots of different areas to relax and sit. The spa facilities were basic but ok. I was disapointed with my room, which had a poor standard of decor and stains on the carpet, especially compared to the rooms occupied my other members of my party. Having said that, the bed was very comfortable.

“ The carpet in the hotel corridors smelled as though they hadn't been cleaned in years. The 'premium' rooms were much smaller than expected. This hotel clearly caters to the elderly as we were the only clientele younger than 60. For this reason, the staff felt they could be rude and threaten to kick us out just for talking late at night. Would NOT recommend or revisit.

I feel the room should have been checked prior to our arrival. The staff were lovely and the public rooms were spectacular- however I did feel we were housed in the servants quarters!!
