It is only 11 miles from the county capital Exeter and therfore an ideal alternative place to stay for business travellers. Lyme Bay House is within a few minutes walking distance to beaches shops lawns and gardens the mainline railway station and other amenities. The Licensed Bar is a wonderful place for customers to meet and enjoy a drink before or after their evening meal.Nikki said We wanted to develop a bright vibrant fresh holiday feel to the hotel. Breakfasts fantastic
Room clean & comfy
Bar very hit & miss.............took 1/2 an hour on 2 nights to get a drink and closed very early without any notice.............the one bad thing about the hotel.
“ Top Tip: Great pub/restaurant The Smugglers great food & service turn right out of hotel 15 minutes walk.

“ Room was clean, well appointed and comfortable with good ensuite shower. Water flow on shower was OK but could have been a little stronger. Staff were friendly, helpful and flexible. I had to leave early on Sunday before stated breakfast time and they were able to get me a very good but not cooked breakfast that lasted me all day! I would say it would probably suit couples rather than families. Parking spaces need care. I suspect they had to redo them to fit in a disabled space, which hasleft one or two on the small side. When I came back late at night I was unable to fit into the space left and had to improvise. I have stayed before and would happily use it again for a short stay.
