“ Beds are in urgent need of up grading . Mattress are very soft and uncomfortable,pillows are so soft ,had 2nights staying there and never slept ,we suffered with a bad back and neck ,apart from that staff was very good.

Hotel much better than expected for the price we paid. We stayed at the Holiday Inn (previously The Hilton) at Garforth a week before for almost twice the price and the Derby Hotel was every bit as good though it did include dinner for two on the first night. No doubt you had a similar deal but it was not offered. We did ask for a price for an evening meal and were quoted an offer of £40.00 for two courses for two people. The same offer at the Holiday Inn was only £25.00
The position of the hotel is ideal for the M1 motorway for a break in journeys either north or south We will recommend this hotel and will certainly stay here again.
“ Top Tip: National Trust Hardwicke Hall. Also Haddon Hall and Chatsworth, all worth a visit and within easy reach. Buxton Matlock, Bakewell, Chesterfield and the Peak district, all are within easy reach.

Breakfast was brilliant - however beds were extremely uncomfortable as mattress dipped in towards middle with a mattress topper on top - wouldn't go there again unless they bought new mattresses!
Also, there was no lift in the hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
“ Top Tip: East Midlands Shopping Outlet (McArthur Glen) 5 mins away - fantastic value for money.
