This hotel is directly opposite Derby Midland train station and about a ten minute walk to the Westfield shopping center. The staff was very friendly and helpful indeed, and they kept my luggage on my day of departure until I collected it in the afternoon.
I had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed their food and wine, although it was presented a bit without thought. My garlic king prawns (in the shell) came without bread, for instance, and with neither a bowl of water, nor with one of these little lemony towels to clean my fingers afterwards.
The room was nice and clean and came with coffee making facilities and biscuits as well as free WIFI, pen and paper, an ironing press for trousers, and - of course - a TV. This hotel is really good value for money and I can only recommend it.

The staff on arrival were very courteous and were expecting me which was very welcoming after a very long drive.
The single room was small - but as I was only there for less than 12 hours, perfectly decent. It was very neat and clean and had all I needed for my short stay.
I had breakfast in my room and the breakfast wasn't that great at all.
Overall I'd have no trouble recommending it as a commuter hotel - especially as it is straight across the road from the train station and has a sizeable car park at the rear.

“ we only stayed the one night but would recommend a stay there .the rooms were warm and the beds were very clean and comfortable with every thing to make use of.we were impressed with shower and the lovely thick bath sheets.we had a lovely breakfast and the waiter service was very good.would come again.
“ Top Tip: no as we were visiting relatives after going to a funeral.
