we had a terrible time arrived at hotel to find that our room had been flodded and they had no more rooms, we were moved to a guest house which was ancient and with no bar and even further away from the centre, went back to agenda and got a free drink and meal and then we were moved to another terrible hotel but had to accept it as we were going to a concert and only now had 30 mins to get there.
hotel didi its best but we were very disatisfied as they said they had phoned me to let me know, but they had not, next time will book another hotel, the hotel we ended up in was not worth the money that we had pre paid.

Only skylights in the room. No view. Skylights had to stay open at night for ventilation & then was noisy when raining due to the flat roof under the skylight.
Service was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was disappointing. Old fruit left in orange juice or selection of three cereals ( No Muesli) or full Scottish. My wife didn't want a cooked breakfast so bought her own muesli for breakfast.
Room cleaning was very goods. Clean towels every day.
“ Top Tip: We used the carvery every day which was just 50 yards away. This was good value for money.

“ Room needed painted, and carpet was terribly stained and filthy. Room smelled of cigarettes. Our breakfast was quite good, but once additional guests started arriving the staff couldn't cope, and there was not enough to go around. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, but it was obvious that there weren't enough on duty.
“ Top Tip: On the bus routes to zoo, city centre etc

“ A very average hotel with pleasant clean rooms and fairly helpful staff. The breakfast service is chaotic.Coffee was cold hot water for tea was cold.Dont be last for breakfast as you will find very little or nothing left in the way of fresh fruit or fruit juice. The scottish breakfast is very dissapointing. The staff do try to be helpful.
“ Top Tip: We travelled to central edinburgh for dinner.Try browns an excellent eatery.
