Located in the Haymarket area to the West End of the New Town in Edinburgh only 5 minutes walk from main shopping areas Princes Street and George Street. The EICC and Lothian Road are also within a 5 minute walk for those on business and for sports fans Murrayfield and Tynecastle Stadium are 15-20 minutes walk. There is limited free parking available on site and on-street parking nearby. At Metro West End Bar and restaurant look out for the special fixed price options which offer great discounts and exceptional value for money. “ we stayed at apex for the marathon. when we were allowed to leave our clothes in a spare room. they left us extra towels to shower afterwards. thoroughly delighted with the service. all staff were great. all meals we had were great. would stay again with out exception. well done apex. thank you

“ we were put into what we would call a very small box room( tiny velux attic window with no airconditioning), which had been converted to a double room. Consequently there was no room to move around and the whole thing was cramped and unsatisfactory. We complained and were relocated to the Waterloo Apex at Waverly, with a complementary drink while waiting for a prepaid taxi to take us there. The waterloo Apex was excellent and the room was as we expected from the original booking. We would return to this hotel.

Top Tip:
The hotel is situated in the Haymarket area, not far from Princess Street, George Street or the busy Lothian Road.
In particular I would recommend a place called "Expresso Mundo" on Lothian road for a calm atmosphere and nice, affordable food.

“ I felt that this hotel was fairly average considering the price. The location is great but the staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful. Room was quite small and the breakfast was sub standard in my opinion.
